And to add to the lab population... If I have enuff takers I will breed zues and hera late this fall or early winter i wanted to wait until hera was 18 months old before they bred both awesome water dogs both have pointing genes. But are amazing hunters very smart dogs not your avg labs both akc registered but i figured the first pups should go to my good friends and then maybe I will share them with the rest of the world. But I am not sure yet as theyre the most amazing dogs in the marsh for sure.
I know it will be a limit of 2-3 litters and then she will be fixed. but if interested lemme know. both are black but heres parents the sire was choc bitch was yellow and zues bitch was choc and sire was yellow so I am not sure what we will end up with but are gorguos labs big blocky heads short ears stocky tails very muscular.. barrel chests huge shoulders she is 90 pounds and zues is 100 pounds not tiny labs. All dews claws will be removed vet checked shots worms. 150.00 to my friends. or trade im always up for trades. But no wives please i have one already...LMAO

Does anyone know how well Britney Spaniels hunt waterfowl? I love them for upland game and want to get one, but then I got into waterfowl and am just wondering how well they multi-task.

I own a lab and a chessie. The lab may not be quite as aggressive as the chessie but a much better temperment. The lab will shit in a nice clean pile where the chessie will shit anywhere he pleases and allover, and basically tromp through it and spread in the places he didnt shit. Chessies are great hunters, just stubburn, filthy animals! :x

Man, not mine. He has a sweet temperament and doesn't spread his crap. but I also don't kennel my dogs except in crates at night.

labradors...there is a reason they have been the number one breed for many years....they outnumber the #2 breed 2-3 times the number....with that being said, for a hunting lab, you have to do your homework and search for field trial/ hunt test bloodlines

wachtelhund best dog i've ever owned german breed looks alot like a water spaniel but it isnt. Great all round dog pheasant/ducks/bloodtrail/shed hunters/ basically everything very easy to train well worth the price

I can second you on the wachtelhund we have had one for 14 years she's still in great health even went on a couple easy boat hunts this year. We got a new pup in July and she is a handful lol. Great dogs great temperament well worth the $$$
