Anyone have a good place to process a deer. I use to take it to Edgewood, Iowa. I just don't want to make the trip this year...it's about an hour and half plus, drive for me. I live in CR. Anyone know of a good place that's close...just doing fresh cuts, venison burger and deer sticks.

Take it to Razuka's in Solon or to the Newhall Locker. If you want sticks take it to Solon much better sticks!

Just got back from Edgewood, first time trying them for me(some samples were tried at Cabelas this fall that fished me in). Was grossed out at the size of their facility, deer everywhere. Also was a eye opener to see what they get for a deer on the hoof, never figured it would be that cheap(85$cleaned and packaged into steaks and burgers). I took in 52lbs of deboned meat for sausage and sticks which I think the total bill is gonna be 165$ which sounds fair considering I had to buy 20lbs of beef to go with it.

Kbock what use to be their turnaround time for you? I forgot to ask them.

You could call Rowley locker.......not sure if they take them in on the hoof or not.

Don't go to Solon! I took a deer there like two years ago and I could hardly give away the stuff I got from them. I don't know how you like your summer sausage but I prefer not to be able to squeeze liquid out of mine. I don't recall likeing anything I got from them. Not to mention their customer service was a little lacking.

I don't recommend Tiffin either.
