Because I bought it that way. 24inch barrel brand new extrema 5 years ago cost me $699. I don't mind it at all. Barrel length anymore really isn't life and death now that there are choke tubes.

Nice job Adam! Shot two on Saturday...my boy and I went out together and it was great. About a doz decoys, two shots and two birds. We were done in 20 min. Went out Sunday w my buddy and his dad, we shot six. Great opener for us down here..

 

But if your in a duck blind that short barrell will RING your buddies ears somthin ferice.

Got a English stocked BPS with a 22" in quail barrell for the youngest son (left handed) after about 2-3 hunts broke down and bought a 26"

Now I can hear when he says....."you missed Dad"

Never have yet but then again I don't shoot over peoples heads in the duck blind.

Is it just me, or did you rig a way to put decoys on top of your layouts??

 

No we didn't. We dug into the field so the blinds sat lower in the chisel plow. We watched a group the other day have no luck in Chisel plow because they didn't dig in.
