saw a guy up at the game fair a couple years ago selling field blinds that looked like that

Bass Pro has one of those giant goose blinds on display I believe its in the Council Bluffs store. Makes you wonder what the birds think when they see that.

I hunt with a guy occasionally, who guides up in Rochester, MN and he told me that one year the hunting was getting real slow due to stale birds not wanting to decoy. He, just like everyone else, was running about 200 fullbodies so he decided to try something different. He pulled out all his fullbodies and used ONLY 6 giant super mag shells. I mean these things were like 6 feet long. He had to pull them out in a trailer. He said that for 2 days straight he ran about 30 hunters through that pit. In one week along he had about 200 geese shot out of that one pit. He would just keep cycling hunters through as soon as one party shot there limit, which at the time was only 2 birds. He just swears it was something different but he laughed when he said "boy it sure looks ridiculous but you cant argue with results."

I'm the one selling the boat. Yes I did take a lot of guff at first, but brushed it off.
The "Big Momma" does not do miracles, but it does bring in geese for a look from way out, but the rest of the rules of goose hunting kicks in. Calling, decoy set, location, and etc..
When I put it together, I was tired of repairing or replacing weed blinds every year. Some times they blended into the marsh, but usually they were to brown or to green. The partner or the dog was always sticking their head out or breaking off a spot to see out. I wanted something more durable, didn't have to put up or down to transport.
Any other boat blind was made to help you blend in, none was made to actually help attract geese.
The big momma blind would be a problem moving/setting up on it's on, because of its size. Getting on a marsh or field would be nearly impossible! Not now, just push off or crank it on.
I stayed warmer and dryer, the dog stayed hidden, and I got more geese in. I took the ribbing from other hunters silently!

Shot Geese on water and land. Always put a few duck decoy's out on water, and shot them too, when season was open for ducks.
I'm old and disabled now, thats why I'm selling. I see there is a lot of non belivers! Fifty years ago, when I started goose hunting, we had a handfull of goose decoys. Today I see duck decoys bigger than our old goose decoys. At the time we would never have thought bigger was better!
Now you see feld one man magnum blinds that work. There are people who dress up as a goose and swat birds.
As you can see from the pictures two men can sit up, not laying down in the boat. Makes for quicker and easier shooting.

Just wanted to let you know the goose boat is sold!
It was sold to a nice guy from Ames IA. I suspect it was huntaholic.
Anyone hunting near him better take up watching football on TV!
