Just bought one yesterday, looks amazing but weighs alot. The outside is made of flexible plastic but you have to blow it up so there must be a balloon type thing or a chamber on the inside.

No the dave smith hen decoys are $120. The avian-x decoy is around $80.
They are a nice looking deek!
I think they have a little to much white for coloration, but a nice looking deek.

I love my DSD flock:D

I agree I think the white is a bit much. Otherwise they look really good.
Yes, whom ever painted them went a little over board on the white
Zink definitely does his research and does nice work, don't count out that he has a theory on the extra white???? Never know.
True, I think it might be for a visual to get the turkey's attention
How easy would this decoy deflate/be ruined from a turkey spur, fence barb, thorn bush, etc.? I've never held one in person, wondering how thick they are? $80 seems like a lot for an inflateable decoy, but it's your money.
They seem to be pretty durable, the decoy came with a dvd Turkey Time II. It never showed the decoy getting spurred, however a tom tried to breed it and scratched it a few times with his claws. I do not know about a barbed wire fence, it should be alright, but I'm not going to be the one test it. :p But that's my opinion, see if you can hold one and see what you think.
How did the hunt go for this decoy? And do you think it would pop if gotten shot, how would you patch it?
I am pretty sure a bullet would penetrate the plastic, as far as patching it would go, I would not be much help. :p
bought the avian X jake yesterday looks BA!! Cant wait to get out there and use it!
Just left cabelas and that decoy looked awesome but decided to buy a dozen of his goose decoys for $80 more

I will be carrying two hens and a jake out into the turkey woods this spring.

Debating ordering a couple hen's...they seem pretty durable and look amazing. Just not sure how bad I want to hike through the ravines/ridges of southern Iowa then have to blow up 2 decoys when I get to my spot...haha could see that making me light headed. I guess you could leave them inflated and carry in a decoy bag. I have heard a lot more good reports than bad though...

I love mine. I just leave them inflated all the time. They say that it only takes two breaths to inflate one... Maybe if you're an olympic swimmer. I used my compressor to inflate them. I don't think they're too bad to carry, but I'm not very old by anyone other than drakeslayer's standards... What I would do to be 18 again.
Mine is still inflated from last season, I love mine also, the sticks that come with them make for very easy transportation. Paint has held up awesome too.
