Team,
The House Natural Resources & Appropriations committees are at it AGAIN
I'm sending out an email blast to generate a bunch of letters to the editor from our supporters. The House Natural Resources & Appropriations committees are moving into full on assault on the REAP formula - in particular going after the Open Spaces/Land Acquisition accounts. Details below:
The process all begins in the Appropriations Committee http://www.legis.iowa.gov/Schedules/com ... =84&CID=18
and we need to focus our letters in counties covered by those members. In particular:
Polk County (Des Moines Register)
Linn County (Cedar Rapids Gazette)
Scott County (Quad City Times)
Dubuque County (Dubuque Telegraph-Herald)
Dallas County (Dallas County News)
Shelby County (Harlan Online )& Southwest Iowa News)
Pottawatamie County (Southwest Iowa News)
Woodbury County (Sioux City Journal)
Blackhawk County (Waterloo Courier)
More details and sample letters are here. http://www.iowaswaterandlandlegacy.org/writeyoureditor.aspxPlease spread the word to your listservs, message boards, email lists, etc....
