Anyone been out??? Going to head up to Genoa this weekend and give it a shot in the boat. Might take the ice fishing poles to just in case we somehow limit out and want to go after some panfish thru the ice.

We caught a few in Muscatine the other day, haven't heard anything about up north though.
3 friends of mine were somewhere on the Miss. yesterday and they were catching a lot of walleyes . Didnt get any other info out of them
Been piling em up lots of slot fish tho. Some big girls too.
piss on the open water for now! I'm so damn mad at this heat wave! Just want a couple more weeks on the ice!

Sorry for the rant. Just like ice fishing

Funny... I have to work all weekend. good luck though!
Ended up being a good day. We kept 4 sauger all over 14 inches 2 cats and 1 big perch. Let ALOT of saugers under 14 go and caught alot of eyes just under 15 and right at 15 but we dont keep them unless they are 16 to be safe. Got a northern as well but let him go.

damn dude sounds like a solid day... making me itch for northen minnesota and the bounday waters this summer even more! not too much as far as fishing is concerned out here in dc...
Yea, I'm not too crazy about the heat wave either. It made me a bit skeptical about ice thickness right about when I was going to go out and made me thing of Spring and real fishing!
yeah we have been getting alot of saugers here to with a few walleyes mixed in. Like somone said before the walleyes are just short of 15'' and the sauger are the same too. At least a fourteen inch sauger is a nice eater or would not be worth it. Once a day though you will get a couple big ones right around 18'' to 20'', which keeps you coming back. Needs to warm up a little more and the big ones will move in.
Heres the river cam http://www.riversedgeresort.com/river-cam/ End of March for us up there....
