My son and I have been rebuilding mudmotor props for our motors, by welding up worn blades. We have came up with a more accurate way to regain blade shape and thickness. We make a mold of brand new prop in mortar cement. We then weld up blades and grind them to fit back in mold. Then using lawn mower blade balancer we balance prop adding weld or grinding it off. We've been hunting Cedar river alot and getting about one season out of a rebuilt prop. Saves money and is a good off season project, if you have access to welder and grinders. We do this for our own use. For liability reasons we won't do it for anyone.
