Is it legal to set out decoys and leave them unattended if you are hunting private ground? The regulations state:
"Decoys are prohibited on all game management
areas from one hour after sunset until midnight of each day. Decoys are
considered removed from an area if they are in a boat or other container
at an approved access site. Waterfowl decoys cannot be left unattended
for more than 30 minutes between midnight and one-half our after
sunset. Special regulations regarding the use of decoys on parts of theMississippi River are described below."
The way I am interpreting this is the midnight and 30 minute rule only apply towards game management area's aka public ground. Does anyone know for sure or do I need to call my local CO?
