CALLING CONTEST
was wondering if there is any calling contest near des moines area that are held id really like to go watch. i know they use to have them at sportsmans in ankeny but im not for sure if they still have them there

They used to have one at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Ankeny. I competed at that one a few years in a row, but I think they did away with it last year. Not sure if they are planning on starting it again or not. It was in August if I remember right..
EDIT - Should've read your whole post. Ha. Yeah they used to have one, but like I said, they didn't have it last year. It was a nice little contest. Pretty well organized..

Todd Copley ran one at the Des Moines Expo center last Winter. don't know if they are going to do it again or not.
