got them on my FB duck decoys. THey have worked well so far.
Not exactly true. My motion stakes on my FB bigfoot mallards move very nicely in the 5mph wind. I will be selling them at the end of the year but only because Dakota is going to have their FB mallards out by next fall.DocRay said:The ones with the rubber bands?
Pain in the butt at best. It would also take near hurricane winds to move them well in my opinion.
You're better off with the foot bases and running around your spread in a goose suit!![]()
I was skeptical of them at first as well. I don't own any, but my uncle has some and I like them. As far as wind speed goes, you can adjust the rubber bands so that the decoys move with very little wind or don't move windly with lots of wind. The further you move the bands out on the stand, the more resistance there will be. The further up they are, the easier they will move in the breeze. If I got a deal on some, I would be all over them. I have a dozen older Bigfoot feeders and would like to get some motion stands for them, but most of our other FB's are on motion stands so I don't think I really need the extra motion. IMO, there is a happy medium between too much movement and not enough.AJB said:Not exactly true. My motion stakes on my FB bigfoot mallards move very nicely in the 5mph wind.
