You guys take peroxide with you on hunts? that's actually a good idea if you do. We had a boxer a few years ago eat two bottles of another dogs medicine for arthritis and I opened that bastards mouth and just ran peroxide straight down its throat (pry half the bottle) and not even 30 seconds that dog was puking something fierce, over 20 some pills came out. I saved that dogs life because vet told us its heart should of stopped within 30 minutes after it ate them. We guessed it had them in its belly for over a hour. That sob at them again the next day out of the puke because we were all to drunk to pick it up, and guess what? He got the other half a bottle of peroxide. still dumber then a box of rocks today but he don't eat anything but dog food now lol

My dogs have ate or chewed on dog beds, couch and cushions, bed sheets and comforters, duck calls, clothes, kids toys, chair legs, small wooden decorations in the house, magazines, and my first lab would stand on her hind legs at the sink and pull out dishes and utensils and chew on those while I was at work.

I see all kinds of stuff in the piles out in the front yard while picking them up...crayons, kids toys, parts of baseball's and softball's. My male had a hankering for steel siding on the shed his kennel was attached to...brings a whole new level of shittin tacks or razorblades!

I'm betting most of these stories are of labs . Annie would eat anything.
We keep the dog food in the other side of the basement in a metal garbage can. Somehow she got the door open and lid off .finished the bag during the day , swear she had to eat 10 to 15 lbs .
Bloated up like a hippo. Missed a week of goose hunting over it. Vet had us just keep her quite and feed her pumpkin pie filling to keep things moving.
Sadly it was her appetite that was her undoing. She got into neighbor shed and ate several boxes of rat poison .

Growing up we had a 70 lb female Wirehair named Skittles that was one hell of a dog but a goofy hard-headed pain until she was about 5 when she finally mellowed out. Over the years, she consumed many Christmas tree ornaments, an entire giant chocolate rabbit around Easter one year (no ill effects, watched her like a hawk), an entire unopened container of blood-based catfish stink bait (calling the manufacturer to ask what was in it they laughed and said dogs eat it all the time and usually just get the scoots), many stuffed animals...who knows what else. Dog was a machine and pointed and/or retrieved many ducks, pheasants, grouse, and partridge for me during my formative years.
