Re: Thoughts on the SBE 3

I bought one last year. No complaints. Took it out this summer trap shooting after 4 months of not shooting and shot an 18 first round and a 23 second round. Using the factory mod choke tube. I typically shoot 20-24 consistently with my Vinci.

Spoonduck I've got an sbe3 and I go shoot skeet most sundays at the ikes in Ames. I'd be more than happy to let you shoot a round of trapnor skeet with it. I've had mine for 2 months now and it's been flaw8with a bit over a case of shells put thru it.

SpoonDuck Thanks guys. I’m just researching my options for the new gun. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the SBE 3 i just don’t have anyone who has one I can borrow for the range. A lot of people say the Berreta is an excellent gun as well. I’m just not sure which way I want to go.

Re: Thoughts on the SBE 3

I have the SBE3 and love it. This will be its 3rd season.

It does shoot a littler “high”, or higher than most are used to.. but not a foot Lol! you wouldn’t want the pattern below the point of aim anyway. Not even a noticeable difference when compared to my SBEII in the field, or on paper. If your one to look for an excuse, then don’t buy the shotgun bc that seed has already been planted.

Straight out of the box, I couldnt miss a clay if I wanted to on day 1. Shot teal and dove before taking it to Sask. Went without a hiccup in its first fall. 2 snow goose seasons under its belt and it can dump 11 rounds out as fast as i can run the trigger. I have let lots of guys shoot it without any complaints.

Also, I have yet to blame the gun for any misses.

Re: Thoughts on the SBE 3

I don't own any of the SBE series of shotguns, but I'm pretty sure they all shoot high. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

I dont know anybody with a SBE3 yet. However the beretta a400 seems to be a hot seller to my group this year.

Thoughts on the SBE 3

I’m on the hunt for a new duck and goose gun for the fall. I wanted to know what everyone’s thoughts were on the Benelli SBE 3. I’ve heard mixed reviews mostly about it shooting a foot high. Which is a set back for me if that’s true. I’ve had a browning gold hunter for 18yrs and while it’s a great gun it needs retired.
