You asked about puffins. Puffins are shot in Iceland. I was stationed there for a year and hold a non-Icelandic hunting license #35. I hunted several times as guests of Icelanders. I have no idea what they taste like ... all the ones that I have seen were made into stuffed specimens and sold to tourists! Knowing that they feed on fish ... my bet is they taste awful. Iceland is a birder's paradise and hunting is/was so controlled and expensive.
