I would consider some sort of performance exhaust first, then heads, then 42mm Mikuni carb. Exhaust, with stock heads and carb IMO would give you better flow, allowing motor to breath better. The stock carb already passes more than enough fuel to cylinders. You would probably see a little more RPM and better throttle response. A stock muffler can be gutted, and it will almost give the same performance gain as a performance pipe. Also its a cheaper alternative to a high dollar pipe.

Denny I have a 2011 gtr 35 considering a carb any recommendations?

Should work ok, mufflers may not last as long. I have a gutted stock SS muffler for sale $150 if you want to go that route, couldn't tell the difference in performance between it and my Crossover just as loud.

I have a performance vanguard GTR35 motor. My stupid marsh mellow exhaust took a crap on me the other day.

Is there any performance issues with using this style of muffler you designed on a performance engine?
