Wishful thinking on your part! Suppose to be just getting good for waterfowl hunting on a normal year and I put the blind boat to bed after last Saturday!
Terrible when we are thinking about ice fishing, oh well I might try goose hunting but at my age I don't like laying in a coffin blind! Take care and have a great Thanksgiving!

Hey Dean... I doubt if I get on iawaterfowl much this week. Never post anything anymore. Tired of Timber Hunter always turning stuff around and I'd hate to piss him off. He might want to come beat me up. Can't figure out how Bryan (son/stepson) turned out to be such a neat kid!
Anyhow drop me a line at [email protected] or text 319-572-0047
If your kids happen to be on my assigned mat, I'll try to make 'em famous

    Hi Dean.

The youth call contest for first birds is a great idea. I know yoru story a little from forum reads and talks with my late uncle (god rest his sole). My favorite hunting partner for 25 year passed this last April and this season is tough. It makes me cherish more the time and opportunity to take my son along. I respect and admire your commitment ot educating our kids in the classroom of school, and the classroom outdoors. If you throw in extra calls for the contest, you maybe able to share the joy and give a couple duck calls to first duck winners, and goose calls to goose winners. I'm in IL now but was born and raised and schooled as a Hawkeye and return to hunt IA when I can so don't rule my son out as an out-of-staters. I check this forum many times daily. Even if he doesn't win, I'll be inquiring about getting a call from you in the future. Have a great week and successful safe season.
