Default Aluminum plate floor

I want to put in an aluminum plate floor. I sent to put handles on the corners to be able to remove. What thickness should I be looking at ?

Dean I went with 1/8 inch. .125 inch it is plenty strong. My ribs in the boat I would guess are 12 inches apart.
After I installed it I got to thinking the bottom of my Lowe is less thickness than that and I have stood up in it out of the water.
I did put closed cell foam blue color between the ribs I think this also gave it a solid feel also. Hope this helps. TC

When I did my Lowe 1648 I did one piece 48 wide and cut to length just notched out where the ribs were.
