Default Mentoring our youth.

As some of you know I am mentoring a young man this year. First two hunts never fired a shot. Had an opportunity this afternoon so I contacted his father to see if I set everything out if someone could run him out to the field after school. It was a go. Well the little shit goes 5 for 5 with a double. We were not on the X but running traffic under flight path. We were done in less then an hour.

I will say I feel great, best hunt I have been on in years. He is so excited and wants to do more. His father called on my way home and thanked me profusely and said his son was so happy and excited he thinks I may have created a monster.

I highly encourage everyone of you to mentor someone and see how you fill.

I started waterfowl hunting 3 years ago and pretty much make it out two times a week during the season, just starting to get better at hunting shallow water holes but have never had a chance to hunt in a field as I wouldnt know where to begin but it looks like a blast! Wish I had a mentor to show me the ropes on waterfowl.

Well done and you have done something many of us have not done and probably should be doing. Glad it all came together.
