hey guys! Sold my old Mud motor so now I'm getting a new one! I was looking into getting a 26.5 backwaters. But my buddy asked if i was going to do anything with my transom to strengthen it up. I hadn't planed on doing anything, but now I'm a little worried. The reason I'm looking into a 26.5 now is so in a few years, I could upgrade boats but not upgrade motors as well. Anyone know if this set up would be fine? |

I run a MB Hyper sport 45 on a 1648 Riveted Alumacraft. Boat transom was reinforced 10 yrs ago, before I hung my first 29 hp MB on it, and has had three different HP Mud Motors on it since. Heres a picture of how I reinforced transom.
