I have seen a lot over here on this side of the state. I don't hunt them but they are around. Good luck if you are going out.

Not much to report for me . Hunted yesterday all day passed on jakes 3 different tmes . No gobbling after about 6 15. The kid was on the side where the gobbling was , said the all went to another property . Today we thought we had a plan set up together and took the blind cause of the rain . He also had hens and a different agenda. Came home ,maybe next weekend. |

I went 2nd season and was far from any luck. Currently hunting 4th season and yet to down a bird. I'm still looking to get my first gobbler ever, so the learning curve has been a bit lengthy.

Thanked: 1,336 times | ![]() Well hang tough. I had a lot of windshield time today, with the wet morning lots of birds in fields. This morning most had hens around . Later on the way back saw several toms alone strutting and a couple places where there were flocks earlier a tom or two was still strutting with no hens .this weekend should be good.

Talked with a friend of mine. He bagged a 26 lb turk with 1 3/8" spurs and a 30 lb with the same size spurs. Must have been in the right spot.
