The point of the conservation season is to kill as many of them as possible. The most effective way to do that is by jumping over the dike on a pond and spraying it with pellets. I'd jump in on it if I had an invite. I'm sure he is jump shooting them. 250+ geese in 2 days out of decoys would be 2 back to back epic days.

It doesn't matter if they are jumping a roost pond. Those birds are just going to find somewhere else to roost, and it's probably not going to affect where they go to feed.

Anyone who thinks jump shooters are lazy should try to kill cripples and pick up 263 dead geese. It's as much or more work than putting out 1000 dekes to shoot 20 geese.
