Default Spring is near!

The birds have been starting thier trek north! Nothing to get too excited about in Central and northwest MO as most are adults.. But I'm headed down now to take a peek! Cabin fever is setting in.. Maybe it's just a little ADHD lol, and I can't wait to get the dog some birds in his mouth in a couple weeks! Who else is itchin to pull the trigger?!?

If we had all the floaters rigged and everything ready we'd be hunting this weekend but i suppose next weekend will have to do. It looks to be decent weather although they can't get a forecast right a day in advance let alone 7 days.

Putting a few last orders in for equipment for decoys and extension tube and hoping to get those decoys on sale if Cabela's or Roger's has their snow goose sale in the coming weeks.

Need to get the rest of the decoys out of storage and divided into the migrator and feed set up's and I'll be ready.

With close to 400 k at Squaw already and a good snow line, hoping for a good year. Last year my journal has first hunt on March 13 so hoping this year might be a little earlier.

That would be a pretty cool photo Gude if the snood wasn't so blurry. Rookie.
