I agree with bullcan. Never understood why they get such a bad rap. Can anyone fill me in as to the hatred of this duck?

That's a "Minnesota Mallard" I think it's their state bird.

We had 2 beauts just like that one work us yesterday but couldn't get em close enough for good shots. I'd gladly shoot 6 of those greenheads if they look like that!

i also think a lot of people say they taste terrible...i've eaten them before mixed in with mallards and gadwall and i couldn't tell you which one was the hollywood.

There are bad tasting ones, that is for sure. But the vast majority are good table fair. Shot 3 in Nebraska a few years back that the dog wouldn't eat.
