Smile Mississippi river

Made our annual trip to pool 9 and all I can say is we found the X, brought home 7 bull cans, 1 hen can, a hen and drake golden eye, a hen buffle and a drake red head. Wed. afternoon we had to watch cans landing and circling our decoys because we had our limit. The tundra swans put on an amazing show landing in the decoys as well. Can't wait until next Nov.

Ya I was aways south of and saw lots of Yonkers. The mallards kept landing off the damn main channel today very spooked birds.

Had a big group of mallards working at the same time as a single honker. Honker literally cut the thru the mallards and landed 15 yards from the blind on the bank then walked out and stood in Bigfoots on the ice honking. Damn mallards still wouldn't finish. Should have killed the two or three that trailed the goose in but didn't quite touch down.
