I agree with you on that! Some of the most fun hunts that I have had were Friday afternoons after sneaking out of work early! It is still busy, but not Saturday morning busy!

If you are still looking for a gunner, I'll be your huckleberry. I am fairly new to duck hunting but not hunting. I have a dog club but that got me into it. But he won't leave his property to hunt. Which I don't blame him but the last couple years its been dry, so no ducks.

So I am looking for some more guidance and hunting partners. I know I have a lot to learn, but I am a hard worker and I do have a dog, well not a duck dog per-say. My short hair loves to duck hunt and loves the water. She is a fair duck searcher and a great marked retriever. That is not to say that I have to bring her just what I have to offer.

So if you will have me I would love to tag along.

Thanks for the offer
Clint

Bmac if you read the post above you will notice that I am a novice and would love to hunt with others to learn as much as possible. I am just west of you in Lowden. Maybe someday we can me and I can watch and learn, that is if you don't mind showing a new guy the ropes.

I am trying to get my own set up going and its not too bad. I have a stealth 2000 and just put some blind material on it and its coming along. A dozen deeks and two mojo's. But set up, placement, calling, and many more things like that I need to learn.

That's mostly where I hunt. Last year we got into some green heads and just hammered them.

What size of hammer were you using?
