Default Found a New Hobby

Took the fox pro out this afternoon and tried my luck at calling raccoons. Had a heck of a time and saw coon on every single set! One set produced 3 coon in 2 minutes. Could have had more, but some of the critters wouldn't come all of the way out of their tree holes. Has anyone else ever tried calling coons?

No, but looks really fun...
What noise do you use for the foxpro?

"Distressed trashcan" or do you go with "yelping snickers wrapper"

Buddies from Harvey call old trees and old houses during the day as the sounds of it im missing out. Heard they are very territorial and get some hogs. Nice hunt

I really want to know that as well PLEASE!

Only coon we have called in was during all of our years hunting them with the dogs. If they treed on a den tree you would get the squaller out and try to get them to come out. Coon will come from a long way off to help another coon in a fight

Yes we started calling them last year! What a riot!! For u guys asking about the sound its coon squal or coon fight. Find den trees and set ur caller near the tree and stand back the coons come rolling out! O yea go during the day time also!

What the hell?! How does that say I posted that? Ha ha

For everyone asking how to do this, I have some video I'm working on right now. I didn't get the triple on film, but I do have some footage that might explain stuff for you.

I just run a raccoon fighting sound and stand out of the way. I had one coon literally jump out of the tree today and charge towards where the sound was coming from. Learned to stand away from the caller on that one! Everything happens fast. If nothing shows within 2 minutes, it isn't going to happen.

Lake city area Had some younger kids get rushed to ER with EHD like symptoms after checking traplines for coons. They chewed tobacco and people were thinking they may have gotten a parasite or something from the coons when dipping.
So kill massive coons but be careful.
