AT THE 8 MARCH NRC MEETING, THE COMMISSIONERS APPROVED DNR OTTER AND BOBCAT RECOMMENDATIONS AS PER THOSE PRESENTED AT THE TUESDAY EVENING ICN. THERE WERE SEVERAL FUR-BEARER CITIZENS PRESENT IN THE AM. ALL WERE GONE BY THE TIME DNR AND COMMISSIONERS DISCUSSED. NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS, AS WERE HEARD TUESDAY EVENING, WERE DISCUSSED.

I think you may be confusing Bobcats with Mountain Lions. Bobcats have been in Iowa all my life. Lions......... not so much.

they know that the bobcats were here, have been here and will be here. they didnt have to introduce them. not sure what your saying

and since mt lions came up, do you honestly believe they introduced mountain lions? they didnt introduce them.... they didnt have to as they moved in from not soo far away states. their home range is huge and they will keep moving when they find good food. along with several other facts about the big cats. i sure wish some people would actually talk to an officer who know something rather than assume and take another persons word for it.

a+b=c as far as word of mouth goes show us some proof...

The first Bobcat i remember was in 1976 I caught it in a snare I had on a side for beavers. I went home called Dnr and they drove me out and recovered it.
that was whats now inside the city limits of Des Moines. Lon Lindenburg was the officer that came out to get it. I wish we had camera phones in those days i woulda loved to at least kept pictures. it was one of the most beautiful things ive ever trapped.
