Default Been setting steel





Well If you read my post about scouting ducks the other day down south I was doing more then looking for ducks I was setting traps water mostly coons havent really primed up yet but i have 17 road killed ones skinned and stretched....lol I remember when everyone picked up road kills. I couldnt beleive that so many are just laying along side of the road i see a 5 dollar bill at least when i seem them lol. most of my yotes are looking bad mange i think...But they need thinned out so i dont filled bad about the waste.And On a plus!!!! well maybe not but i am excited one of my river bottom areas have hogs seen a sow and 5 lil ones!!! so I will be now i am carrying my .222. get me some pork chops!!!! and keep them thinned out. Well by blessing or curse I ended up with my 3 grand children this weekend so theyre riding alond checking traps and learning to ropes. some mink and rats is all i have managed plenty of 6 inch snappers too was hopin they be in the mud by now. this cold snap coming i may start too set for coons next week. see if there still blue. good luck guys!!!! ill get some pics up when I start stacking them up.

Did you say Hogs? I didn't think Iowa had wild hogs yet???? Or were you trapping on someone's farm? :shock:

Yes Iowa has wild hogs se corner around the boone area and along the red rock river bottoms . Those are the places i am sure that have them but they spread fast so who knows now I know the dnr was working hard to erradicate them from the boone area...
