hey guys just trying to figure out acouple good spots to go on the East side of big. hunted the West side acouple dozen times but only been over to the East side acouple times with not much luck. Im hopeing to be back in iowa for part of the duck season but nothing been set solid yet for leave since im in the army. well i hope ill see some of ya this fall during duck season!! thanks, Josh

Are you talking about walking in along the dike? or putting a boat in? Coming from the South ramp or the true east side? This year the middle seemed to be the hot spot, where as the year before seemed to be the west side. It's kind of a crap shoot to see which side the ducks prefer. You just have to go out there and watch birds to get a good feel as to where there birds will be hanging out. I hunt with a buddy who really likes the middle area along with a couple other guys on this site.

The closer to the refuge signs the better! I'm planning on making some yellow signs before the season. I figure these should be my best decoys by far
