Just looked at your pictures. That is alot of good memories. Anyone who thinks hunting is a waste of time is crazy. Thanks for putting together a great album.

Hi Jeff, I own 3 of your calls, talked to you quite a bit a couple of years ago. John

The boat is a 4-Rivers and the motor is a 5 or 6 hp Robin. It's my Brother-in-Law's rig. He has two. At one time, he ran a electric trolling motor on one of them and a 2 hp Yamaha on the other. Later, he went with a mud motor for one and the Yamaha on the other and finally... mud motors on both. The trolling motor did fine but was slower and might run out of battery. The four stroke Yamaha was pretty good. That's what I'm running inthe sunset photo. In shallow water, we had to block the motor up (tilt). The mud motor is much faster (if ya need it) and will run ya right up to the spot. They even break an inch or so of ice.

What brand Layout boat is that in your picture and what brand and size mudmoter is that. I am planning on getting a Momarsh Fatboy DP and was wondering about mudmotors on them. What are the pros and Cons?
