Default 2017 Snow Goose Season Thread

I'm sure if there is another thread going yet but the season is just around the corner and some snows are already in Iowa. Anyway maybe we can post pictures from this years season and migration info here.

Can a mod move this thread over to the snow goose forum/report?

If not, we can make another one over there as well

Cool Re: 2017 Snow Goose Season Thread

Well, seems like they are all over!!!!! Or so some say...guess I don't know where they are

Would be fun to pick some up early before we head out on our week hunt in SW Iowa...

If anyone is going to go out and search them out, I would be interested in tagging in and helping with decoys and taking a few out of the group..

Decoys. Most the ones here will hang a while I believe. They like the refuge across the river as well as an area near Burlington.

I have been hunting pretty consistently about 45 min - 1hr South of Omaha and I have not seen much in the way of snow geese. Specks are around but the water is still very much froze over.

I have some friends South of Kearney, NE that have some pretty good feeds of snows going on, but not sure if they are roosting around there or just flying north to feed.
