Default sleeper shack rentals

next year group of us (4-5 guys) are thinking about going with 5-6 hrs to rent a sleeper shack for the weekend. not really sure where to go. none of us are to big into ice fishing but all have gear. trying to stay under a couple hundred a person. hoping to find a place where they already have scouted and have holes drilled.

otherwise if anyone has hired a guide on leech lake that was also one of our ideas because one of the guys has a place up there to stay right on the lake

Leech isn't known for great ice fishing. Good ice fishing can be had on some days . Look up leech lake guide Tom Wilson for ice shacks on leech. Lake of the woods is a great option for walleyes and sauger. Sweets sleepers or Fred's beds are two reputable sleeper shack services there.

Check out Gus's place resort in MN on ball club lake. Just north of leech. The fishing is usually awesome.

I'll check into them, mille lacs was also mentioned but I believe the natives fished all walleyes out and don't believe you can even keep any.

I am pretty sure Mille Lacs is closed to Walleye fishing
Lake of the Woods (Ballard's) is my choice but not sure on the sleeper
Sportsman's Lodge on Lake of the Woods might have sleepers

Mille Lacs allows 1 walleye 19-21" or 1 walleye over 28" to be kept this ice fishing season. I don't know about sleepers we were going to rent cheap hotels and run and gun for walleye and pike, but my buddies and I weren't able to make the trip work this winter.

A web search came up with this for Mille lacs: posted November 3, 2016.
Winter fishing limits 1 walleye, 5 northern pike per angler.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources today announced that the winter walleye regulation will allow anglers to keep one walleye between 19 and 21 inches or one longer than 28 inches.Nov 3, 2016

From a previous article: "Walleye fishing on the big lake has been under tight restrictions for some time. In a historic move last spring, the DNR prevented anglers on Mille Lacs from keeping any walleyes during open-water fishing and limited them to using only artificial bait. That severe restriction was designed to prevent a repeat of the previous year's midseason shutdown of walleye fishing — a devastating experience economically and culturally for the Mille Lacs community."

I would say that depending on when you'd like to go should decide where to go.
LOTW is phenomenal and you can keep more fish 8 combined walleye and sauger no more than 4 walleyes. Red Lake is another great option especially earlier in the year, usually there will be sleepers out on the ice around Christmas. Mille Lacs has turned into a trophy fishery, just can't keep many fish. Tom Wilson does great work on Leech but it's hit or miss there as far as catching fish consistently. Lakestatefishing.com has a ton of information if you read through some of the forums.
Good luck.
