Default Tired boy

Last post I was crying "darn puppy". Well the messing in the crate is a thing of the past. I really like this little guy. His calm but eager attitude is what I expect in a Lab. Just got back from a long walk to the lake with both dogs and the pup is all tuckered out. A bath and now a nap before his supper.
( He has full use of the crate now, but when I was having potty problems, he had less than 1/2 of the crate to live in.)Click image for larger version

I'm curious to know how long the potty training takes. Great looking pup

It took 3-4 weeks with this goofball. Lots of pups never mess in their crate. He had me trained from the beginning to get him out right after feeding and then every few hours, even during the night. It was just that he'd rather play than potty when he was outside. I still take him out in the middle of the night, but only once. It's fun to be with him at 2 AM because he likes me to lay on the floor with him and just be together.
