Well we have had 2 1/2 months of constant pressure and jack crap for birds to replace the ones we had.. Yet the gulf states are possibly seeing more?? I could care less anymore if they had opening day the last week of July and called it a special spoonbill season.. Pressure is not just shooting.. It is activity in general on marshes in general that runs birds off.. Ducks are not a social species with humans, they want solitude away from us! I remember October openers with all kinds of birds. This when i lived in Southern Mn 25yrs ago. Now we have early teal seasons and early goose and youth ect.. Not just here but alot of the states around the midwest.. Todays mentality is wow we lit up a flock of 5 teal today!! It was a epic hunt! I know there are guys on here who have seen true openers but it is getting to be less and less! I wish alot of you could have witnessed the openers we use to have! Birds everywhere.. And yes some of todays problems are directly related to piss poor management of the seasons, some not all! Eventually the big numbers will show and there will be some real good hunting for a 1 or 2 weeks and then season is closed!!

Makes perfect sense. The reason for the piss poor hunts I've had last few weeks is all because of that damn teal season. It couldn't be because is the abnormally warm temps? I saw just as much pressure last year early season and absolutely hammered the birds. However last year wasn't 75-80 degrees the entire month of October
