Default Thursday's movement

Unbelievable numbers of canadas moving down the Des Moines river today. Had to be west of Nevada though. Hundreds of mallards feeding NORTH of hwy 30 and zero hunters. I'm sure there were mallards migrating but it is hard to see everything from a Chevy. Snow and blues in with the canadas. Guess they were waving BYE BYE.

Same on the Cedar. Flock every 10-30mins. None slowing down. Not one bunch of traveling ducks.

Just think if we had some open water, could be killing them south of 30, guess we will have to find a field instead, if there is still

Had 8 swans come over today. Believe that is the most I've seen in one flock.

Had a flock of 12 or so come onto the lake on vets day while we were loading the boat up. Pretty cool sight! People must be a special kind of stupid to confuse them with a snow goose

Right when we had the hard ice up in the northern part of the state there was a flock of 18 sitting on the ice. Them suckers are loud.

As for migration today saw 4 ducks to end my north zone season however the amount of geese was unbelievable. Flocks all day however even the low flying ones didnt want to play ball, just kept heading on towards you southern guys! Good luck and shoot em up

They are moving down from the North too... Friend on mine heading back from ND today said to many flocks to count, Snow,Ice and Sub Zero pushing birds, Set up for ducks tonight , got a couple of bust's .. only a drake to show for the effort.. Geese though were flying for hours.. have to try and put a tag on them later this weekend.

Up here the swans are in flocks up to 100+. Starting around our deer they start migrating to the east coast. It's crazy, I live 30 miles from the river and I see more migrating swans over my house than geese.
