Flew over the Res tonight, we are now wearing NVG's at night to increase safety and all I can say if that they are the best thing since sliced bread! The Res is loaded with pelicans right now. Quite a site to see, especially at night when they think you can't see them! They light up like Christmas lights on the dark water. Seemed like every pond we flew over had some birds sitting on it. The rivers had quite a few birds on them as well. I have found a new way to scout birds at night and am loving it!!

I drove by the Reservoir last night on my way home, and I didn't see a single duck on it with my spotting scope. There were tons of gulls and pelicans on it though. It's not looking good for the south opener.
It's that wild drive inside of a waterfowler that allows us to feel no fear and smile in the face of pain.
