Default snow goose ammo opinions





Hey just getting ready to order some shells for snow goose trip was thinking heavy metal 3.5 inch bb just wondering what you guys think about that or should I go with bbb? Thanks in advance for any and all info.

skip the BBB. get BB-2. You might want the 3.5s if they're giving you the finger at 60. I like kent shells.

I prefer to put more steel in the air. If I'm pond jumping I'll go clear down to a 4 or 6 and open my choke way up. For birds over dekes go with 1' or 2's. This is the only time of year that I'll shoot experts. I'm sure it will cost me a neck collar some day, but I have a hard time shooting good shells at carp.

cheap and fast ammo is what I use. 3.5 or 3 inch BB,1 or 2's.

3" #1's will wreck em good close and far!! You can usually get good deals on shells this time of year.

I usually shoot the same shells for snow's as I do canada's so I'm not purchasing extra shells just for snows. Kent Faststeel 3.5" 1 1/4oz 1's and BB's is what I'll be shooting this spring. With the length of the Xtrema2, I can open up on a flock of snows with 5 of them

I'll save the HeviMetal, HyperSonic and Blindside for strictly Canada's for next year.
