Take your harder classes in the Fall and take all your easy, elective, or Online classes in the Spring. I highly recommend taking online classes. Makes it a ton easier to hunt during school. Good Luck

Where did you go to college?

NWMS class of 90. Picked up a girl there and married her. So now I have a great hunting spot in NW Mizzu when Iowa's season is over. Can't say much about my grades though they sucked no mater the time of year. The only class I got an A in was anatomy. Waterfowl hunting is very addictive. Welcome to the site.

Thanks a ton for the welcome guys! When I first went out with a hunter that has been hunting for a few years, he constantly told me that waterfowlers were like a family and were the best guys. I have only seen this to be true.

One of the biggest questions I have is about gear. Where did you first get your decoys for example. I know times are tough for everyone, but in college, which many of you said you hunted in college, I really have no money. Where is a good place to look for decoys for cheap? Garage sales? Auctions? I really have no idea. Appreciate the help!!!

The first decoys I bought were 12 ghg shells at the bargain cave at the Kansas Cabelas. Then just filled in from there. Always watch the adds and classifieds. Also this spring, I know it sounds bad but don't be afraid to watch out for garage sales. I've had a couple friends say they've seen decoys up for sale. Good luck.
