Default 2011-12 season proposal

All are the same as last year, adjusted for the calendar, except that the zone boundary is being proposed to change to:

The south duck hunting zone is the remainder of the state.

Season dates - north zone. For all ducks: September 17 through September 21 and October 15 through December 8.
Season dates - south zone. For all ducks: September 17 through September 21 and October 22 through December 15.

I think it be wise to include that this information or proposed dates are prelim and had to be offered at this time to move through the process. However this will change potentialy based on the USFWS ability to offer states the chance at greater flexability with more zones and the use of splits.

Just saying.

I think the word "proposed" and not "Final" let us know that it's prelim

20 more days until we know if the USFWS gives us the tools we need. I further suspect that on the 21st day of July we shall see the results of the Iowa Waterfowl survey.

I would much rather even hunt later in the south zone.. Seems to me and everyone around where I hunt. We don't get the late season mallards until Dec 10. I would rather have season go til xmas. That an most people get the xmas week of from work so more people could have the opportunity to hunt.
