Alright so here it goes guys. Me and four buddies arrived in South Dakota at 2am Wed morning. We got a half rate at a hotel and slept for 2.5 hrs and then we were off to the muddy trenches with the Goose and Duck Smackers. Let me tell you that I would have been taking naps during the day with this much sleep on one of my normal days. Today was different though, it was a heart pounding on the edge of your seat adrenaline rush. I have never been successful at snow goose hunting before and these guys lived of to their motto of "Putting the Smack Down." All day long we had birds all around us. We had some up front in your face action with snows and there were thousands and thousands of, pintail, red heads, wideon, specks, and of course mallards and canadians. They were buzzing our heads all day and it was really just an experience to be watching the show.

We had a BLAST! These guys are the great guys and are seriously the real deal. Brian and his staff really went all out for us. They went through multiple stuck 4-wheelers, mud everywhere, flooded waters, late nights, and early mornings to set up over a 2000 decoy spread. Also have to throw in a comment on some of the Dakota decoys that we hunted over, WOW! Them suckers pulled not just snow geese but all other geese and ducks in all day. I will have a full Dakota Decoy Spread to replace mine, if not within a year then within 2 years. We were going to hunt another day but I forgot I had a meeting today and had to drive all the way home last night(I was not happy about it, I could do that hunt every day of my life). Neil Morris with Kruger Farms and Brandon Crowley with Dakota Decoys was also there filming which made for a great time. It was really neat to be able to hang out with some down to earth good guys. Overall we killed 31 or 32 snows on the day and in my book was a fantastic shoot!

I will definetely be hitting up the Goose and Duck Smackers guide service in the future. They will go all out for you! Thank you a ton, Brian.

Early Morning before the wonderful day

Snows on the horizon

Aaron and I with my mudded face, those snows were going to have to get too close to live enable to see me

our guide, Brian, Neil Morris(Kruger Farms), and Brandon Crowley(Dakota Decoys)

line of snows

This snow met his maker

flock of canadas on the horizon, too bad it wasn't fall, I have a feeling there would have a mixed bag limit of canadas, specks, mallards, pintails, red heads, and/or widgeon.

Brian and the group posing with the final tally of the day
